Essential Job Functions
Review Module Definitions or Design Specifications and create test scripts and test data under direction from more senior staff.
Attend walk-throughs of new functionality
Modify test scripts and test data.
Execute basic test scripts and record results.
Keep Testing Leader informed of delays in testing activities or problems arising from variances.
Adheres to CSG software development standards and procedures
Work is generally structured as a set of activities or problem situations, assigned and scheduled by others
Coordinates own tasks to complete assigned tasks on time
Works co-operatively with the team
Travel, after/off hours and extended on-site work may be required. May also be required to be on call during non-standard work hours.
Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business or equivalent education/experience
Relevant Degree or Diploma in Information Technology; Computer Science, Engineering or Business (with major in Computing) or 2 years related work experience in Software Development
Experience in developing and executing test plans and scripts
Experience with multi-user, complex software applications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Able to gain basic understanding of client requirements.
Strong understanding of a testing methodology.
Uses structured techniques to solve fundamental problems within one’s own work
Communication skills to understand and clarify basic instructions
Broad understanding of UNIX operating environment
Knowledge of the telecom industry.
